Tamworth Town Records Volume 1_Part1.pdf

This exhibit hosts a collection of volumes of town records and  contains approximately 4,000 pages of scanned material.

Tamworth Town Offices hosts known, orginal town records. Not all town records have been digitized. Digitization is completed by a third party, Kofile.

Dates covered span from 1766-1829, and 1851-1986.

Town records describe local appointments, minutes from biannnual and annual meetings, assorted transactions, vital records, various invoices, and other notes related to assorted commitees, permits, and the physical and social development of Tamworth.

Some volumes are handwritten and some contain indexes.

Decriptions about the scope and contents of each volume are included on individual volume's pages.

These scanned versions of original records created by the Town of Tamworth have been separated by volume and have been divided into digestible parts.

Some scanned and converted files appear grainy on Omeka. If readabiltity hinder abilty to read orignally handwritten records, please contact staff to discuss the option of viewing the digital files on-site at Cook Memorial Library.
